With the popularity of this trend in mind, Johanna Constantinou, interior trends expert at Tapi Carpets & Floors, shares her tips on how to add this cosy colour to your home.

Use peach as an accent

If you’re looking to add this colour to your existing space without wanting to completely change the theme of your room, do so by adding peachy tones as an accent. This can be done through small accessories such as wall art, trays and bowls, cushions, and throws.

Using peach as an accent will help experiment the if the colour pairs well with the rest of your space, so you can easily change it up if it doesn’t flow with your room style. However, if you’re looking to go bold, use peach furniture such as a sofa, armchair, rug, or coffee table as a statement piece or a peachy-toned wallpaper for a backdrop for your décor.

Add it to your pastel themed décor

Whether it’s a pastel or neutral look, peach fuzz can be easily blended into any type of interior theme depending on the look you’re trying to achieve. For summer, however, Johanna suggests mixing the colour with other pastels such as baby pink, lilac, yellow, and mint green.

An example of this is pairing peach curtains with lilac sofas, yellow accessories such as vases, and green upholstery such as ottomans or textiles such as cushions. However, be careful to keep balanced look.

Pair it with grey for a neutral scheme

With grey being such a contemporary and popular colour, it can be paired with a variety of hues including peach. Johanna recommends balancing the two colours when paired together by using one of them as a dominant colour.

For example, if you have a grey sofa and want to use it as the focal point, consider layering in accents of peach such as a luxurious peach-coloured carpet, like Parkmill or Broadway, anchoring the seating area. Delicate peach-hued accessories also add pops of warmth and vitality throughout the space. Pairing these colours will not only highlight the sophistication of grey but also infuse the room with the inviting charm of peach, resulting in a visually captivating interior.

Pair with darker colours to add depth and contrast

If you’re feeling a bit more experimental, Johanna suggests pairing peach with colours such as blue and brown. This will add richness, warmth, and character to your room, giving it a unique grounded look.

If you’re looking for inspiration, consider using peach as a dominant colour and use darker tones as accents. For example, a peach sofa complemented by coordinating armchairs, curtains, and carpets, all bathed in the soft glow of this inviting hue. To accentuate the depth and dimension of the space, introduce darker tones such as rich blues and earthy browns through accessories such as cushions, blankets, rugs, vases, side tables, and artwork.

Use peach as a neutral colour

Peach can also be considered neutrals due to their undertone. Johanna recommends opting for muted tones of peach for those who prefer a neutral interior space. If you’re looking to tone down your bedroom or living room, you can paint the walls with a muted peach hue, replace your flooring with a peachy-toned carpet, and layer with peach textiles and accessories such as bedding and artwork. This will create a calming haven for you to relax in.

Colour drench with peachy tones

As per Johanna, peachy tones are quite light and can therefore be used to colour drench a room. With colour drenching being a popular 2024 interior trend, she recommends pairing different tones of peach to create a creative and cheerful room that will help you relax.

Johanna advises incorporating a blend of muted peach tones for walls, either through paint or wallpaper. This serves as the foundation for the room's colour palette, setting a soft and welcoming backdrop. Complementing this base, she recommends selecting peach furniture with subtle hints of yellow or orange undertones, adding depth and warmth to the space.
