Since 1988, Carpetright has been a leading brand in the world of carpets and flooring. Founded by Phil Harris (who’s now known as Lord Harris of Peckham and is part of the Tapi family), Carpetright quickly became a household name known for its excellent value and great quality carpets. Over the next couple of decades, Carpetright continued to grow throughout the UK and into Europe, offering a wide choice of carpets and flooring, even expanding their collection of home furnishings to include beds.
In July 2024, Carpetright went into administration, closing the doors on their 300 nationwide stores. To ensure the continuation of this iconic British brand name, Tapi stepped in to rescue the Carpetright brand and IP, alongside 54 stores. Carpetright became part of Tapi Carpets & Floors, and now we are one big family with a shared passion for flooring, who always put our customers at the heart of everything we do. Together, Tapi and Carpetright have years of flooring knowledge and experience backed up by high quality products and first-class service.
