LVT is durable, scratch resistant and softer underfoot than many other smooth floorings. It’s also water resistant, so you don’t have to worry about any accidental spillages at the dinner table (although we do recommend wiping up any spills as soon as possible!).
Thanks to the versatility of LVT designs, it will match any style you want to achieve. Whether you are going for a clean, modern look or the dark, woody style of a classical room, you are bound to find the right LVT for the space.
Cleaning LVT flooring is easy as pie! Simply sweep with a soft brush or vacuum to pick up any crumbs or debris, and go over with a lightly damp mop and some soapy water as needed, then wipe dry. For more maintenance tips and tricks, take a look at our LVT care guide.
No flooring is completely waterproof but LVT comes very close, making it great water resistant flooring for kitchens, dining rooms and bathrooms. However, there is a small chance moisture or water can leak in between the tiles, so it’s best to deal with any leaks or spillages straight away to avoid damage.
You will also need to take care when cleaning LVT flooring to prevent too much moisture exposure – avoid steam cleaners, and ensure mops are wrung out and not soaking wet. For more tips, see our guide, ‘Is LVT waterproof?’.
